1. WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN A BUTT AUGMENTATION AND A BRAZILIAN BUTT LIFT?
Butt augmentations use silicone implants to create a more desirable physique. In the past, doctors used gel and water-filled implants. Although these implants create a rounded and a younger-looking behind, they’re prone to rupture if there’s too much pressure on the buttocks (i.e. trauma from a fall). This leads to a disproportionate-looking back end, or worse, an infection. These implants are now replaced by solid silicone implants, which are far more long lasting.
Alternatively, Brazilian butt lifts do not involve the use of any implants. When undergoing your Brazilian butt lift, Dr. Moein will harvest natural fat through liposuction of your abdomen or thighs and inject it into buttocks. A Brazilian butt lift does not leave a huge scar as butt augmentation does (apart from where the liposuction took place). Additionally, downtime is also relatively shorter.
2. HOW MUCH FAT IS NEEDED FOR A BRAZILIAN BUTT LIFT TO BE SUCCESSFUL?
This depends on your desired results, but your doctor may recommend the amount of fat based on your current figure and overall health.
3. HOW LONG IS THE RECOVERY PERIOD FOR A BRAZILIAN BUTT LIFT?
Since a Brazilian butt lift does not involve a major surgery, you can go back to work in 3-5 days. But it can take between four and six weeks before you can fully return to normal activities. For the first month and a half after the procedure, you must wear a compression garment. Expect some swelling and bruising in the first couple of weeks. Your doctor will also prescribe you some medications for the pain.

4. ARE THERE ANY RISKS INVOLVED?
No surgical procedure is without any risk. When it comes to a Brazilian butt lift, the risks are few and preventable, especially with a competent surgeon. Other than the common side effects like bruising, pain and loss of fat (this happens when post-op procedures are not followed), there is little else for you to worry about.
5. CAN I SIT ON MY BUTTOCKS AFTER SURGERY?
Sitting on your derriere after a butt lift can be uncomfortable during the first couple of weeks. You can sit on your buttocks but with the help of a special cushion. During your recovery period, you will be asked to wear a compression garment to eliminate some of the discomforts and to maintain the new shape of your buttocks.
6. WHAT HAPPENS IF I GAIN OR LOSE SOME WEIGHT?
Brazilian butt lifts work by injecting fats into the buttocks. If you’ve experienced severe weight loss or weight gain, it’s likely that this will alter the shape of your rear end. This is why you should follow post-operative care instructions from your doctor.
7. WHEN CAN I EXERCISE AFTER MY BUTT LIFT?
Avoid any strenuous exercise until you have recovered well at 4-6 weeks after surgery. This will give the new fat cells some time to settle. But you can do some light aerobic exercises within a few weeks. Walking is highly recommended.
8. I DON’T HAVE ENOUGH BODY FAT. CAN I STILL GET A BRAZILIAN BUTT LIFT?
The ideal candidate for a Brazilian butt lift is someone with sufficient body fat in other parts of the body. Your doctor may advise you to gain some weight first before going through surgery. Additionally, you need to be at 18 years old before you can be considered a candidate for a BBL.
9. HOW LONG WILL MY BUTT LIFT LAST?
A BBL can last up to 20 years, but the result differs from one person to another. Factors like weight gain/loss, aging and health affect the appearance of buttocks years after a butt lift was performed.
10. HOW MUCH DOES A BRAZILIAN BUTT LIFT COST?
The cost of a Brazilian butt lift depends on the fat that needs to be grafted for a rounded and perkier behind. It is quite an expensive procedure to make, but keep in mind that the cost already includes other procedures and fees for liposuction, anesthesia, and post-operative care.
